Sport - A Rubbish Film

Sport is a collaboration between students at Hazel Grove High School, Cornerhouse and Psychicbread. The video develops in response to ideas in Spectator Sport, an exhibition of photography and film and Cornerhouse, May 2002. Eleven young people, most of whom had never used video before, worked with film-maker Andy Lawrence on the concepts, content and visual style of the film. Working through the planning stages, acting on film, assisting with camera work and influencing the final edit, the project introduced the group to all aspects of film-making and is an expression of their own ideas on sport.
